Two 120 ton steel condensers at ANO were obsolete and slated for removal. At 18’ x 14’, the units were too large to be extracted in one piece, and Bluegrass was contacted to wire saw them into halves for removal and salvage. The process involved cutting 27,000 ½” diameter steel tubes, ¼” steel vent ducts and baffle plates.
The job was successfully completed on time, with no safety concerns.
